Applesauce Biscuits

In a hurry? Gotcha covered. These biscuits are as easy as 1-2-3. And they have no butter or oil in them. Not that oil is a bad thing (in fact, coconut oil is very healthy for you), it’s just that oil tends to get everywhere every time I use it and cleaning it up is a pain. Now, these biscuits aren’t fancy spancy- so I wouldn’t recommend serving them at Thanksgiving dinner, but they are still really good to have with a week dinner or for a snack 🙂

Applesauce Biscuits

(Makes 6 biscuits)

Ingredients:

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup applesauce or homemade applesauce

1 tsp baking powder

1-4 tbsp water (depends on how watery/chunky your applesauce is)

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Combine the flour, applesauce, baking powder, and 1 tbsp water. Add SMALL amounts of water (if needed) until a dough ball is formed.  Form 6 mini dough balls, place on a greased cookie sheet, and squash down slightly. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
